Helmet Awareness Campaign 2026

The Road Safety & UYIR Club of PPG College of Arts and Science, in collaboration with the Coimbatore City Police, organised a Helmet Awareness Campaign on 27 August 2026 at 9.00 a.m. at Athipalayam Pirivu. The campaign was conducted to create awareness among students and the general public about the importance of helmet usage and responsible road behaviour. The programme focused on promoting safe riding practices, adherence to traffic rules, and the importance of wearing a standard helmet to reduce the risk of serious injuries during road accidents. The campaign was part of a wider Mega Road Safety Campaign supported by UYIR, Honda, and participating educational institutions. Students actively participated in the awareness activities and interacted with the road-safety initiatives, gaining a better understanding of their responsibility as road users. The campaign successfully reinforced the message “Wear Helmet, Ride Safe – Stay Safe!”
