Hygiene and Immunity

The Women Empowerment Cell of PPG College of Arts and Science organized an enlightening seminar on “Hygiene and Immunity” on 18th July 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, exclusively for 1^st year girl students. The session was conducted with the objective of raising awareness about the importance of maintaining personal hygiene and enhancing immunity, especially among young women. The resource person for the seminar was Mrs. Mary Theresa, M.Sc (N), Assistant Professor, PPG College of Nursing, Coimbatore. She explained how a balanced diet, regular exercise, adequate rest, and mental well-being contribute to strengthening the immune system. The session was interactive, allowing students to ask questions and discuss their doubts in a comfortable and open environment. Practical tips and preventive health measures were also shared, which the students found highly useful and relevant to their everyday lives.
