Malala Day -2025

The Department of English, in association with the Skylark Literary Club of PPG College of Arts and Science, celebrated Malala Day on 11th July 2025 at 10:00 AM in the Library, commemorating the birthday of Malala Yousafzai, the youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate. The event featured two competitions – Essay Writing and Oratorical – encouraging students to express their thoughts on education, women empowerment, and social justice.  In Oratorical Competition Ms.Teena  from II BSC IT Secured First place, Ms. N. Joy Jenifer from II BCOM CA and Ms. Levimervish from II BSC AI Secured Second and Third place Accordingly. In Essay Writing Competiton, C.Krishna Priya secured first place, R. Srinithi and K.M.S.Vouga Shrega Secured Second and Third place Accordingly. The programme was coordinated by Mr. R. Sudevan, Assistant Professor, Department of English and convened by Mrs. D. Deepikadevi, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of English. The event inspired students to reflect on the values Malala represents and promoted awareness of the importance of education and gender equality.
