Mehandhi Mastery

The Women Empowerment Cell organized a workshop on “Mehandhi Mastery” on the account Women’s Day Celebration 2026 for girl students. The resource person, Mrs. S. Pavithra, Proprietor of Bhavya Tailoring Institute and Fashion Designer, Mettupalayam, demonstrated various mehndi design techniques, including traditional and contemporary patterns. A total of 30 students from various departments participated in the workshop and were guided step-by-step on cone handling, line precision, shading, and detailing methods. The hands-on approach allowed students to practice designs in real time. This practical exposure significantly enhanced their artistic confidence and creativity. The workshop also created awareness about career opportunities in the field of mehndi artistry and fashion. Students gained insights into starting small businesses and earning independently through their skills. The session motivated participants to explore self-employment and entrepreneurship. It also strengthened their understanding of professionalism and client handling in the beauty industry.
