NSS Day 2024: Feeding the Needy

On September 24, 2024, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of PPG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, organized the "Feeding the Needy" initiative at Government Hospital Coimbatore to commemorate NSS Day. The event was inaugurated by Principal Dr. N. Muthumani, with the objective of providing nutritious meals to underprivileged individuals, in alignment with the NSS motto, "Not Me, But You." Under the leadership of NSS Program Officer Dr. V. Haridas, over 50 volunteers participated in preparing and distributing meals to around 200 needy individuals, including patients and attendants at the government hospital. The initiative, conducted with strict hygiene protocols, saw contributions from faculty and students, emphasizing the importance of service and community welfare. The event was a success, making a significant impact on both the beneficiaries and the volunteers.
