NSS DAY 2025 FEEDING THE NEEDY

The NSS unit of PPG College of Arts & Science, Saravanampatti, Coimbatore, celebrated NSS Day – 2025 with a noble initiative titled “Feeding the Needy” on 24th September 2025 at 11:00 AM. The event was organized at the United Home for the Aged, Kurumbapalayam, with the objective of extending care, compassion, and service to the elderly residents.              The program was convened by Dr. V. Haridas, NSS Officer, under the patronage of                 Dr. N. Muthumani, Principal. A total of 30 NSS volunteers enthusiastically participated in the event. They interacted with the inmates of the old age home, served food, and spent valuable time engaging in conversations, thereby creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. The initiative not only provided nourishment but also emotional support, spreading happiness and strengthening the bond between generations. The presence of volunteers highlighted the true spirit of NSS, emphasizing the motto “Not Me but You”, and instilled values of empathy, social responsibility, and humanitarian concern among the students. The event proved to be both meaningful and memorable, leaving a lasting impact on the volunteers as well as the elderly residents of the home.
