Road Safety Awareness program for college bus drivers:

The NSS team of PPG College of Arts and Science, in collaboration with the Uyir Club, jointly organized a “Road Safety Awareness program for college bus drivers” on August 16, 2024. The event was convened by Dr.V.Haridas, NSS Officer and featured Thiru L. Kanaga Subramani, a resource person from Uyir Club, who delivered an informative and engaging session on road safety best practices, emphasizing the critical role of bus drivers in ensuring student safety. The program aimed to educate drivers on the importance of safe driving practices, traffic rules, and emergency response procedures. The event included interactive sessions, presentations, and demonstrations on defensive driving techniques, vehicle maintenance, and student safety briefings. The drivers were also briefed on the college's safety policies and procedures. The joint initiative by the NSS team and Uyir Club made the event a success, and the team hopes to conduct regular training sessions to ensure a safe transportation experience for students.
