As part of Deeksharambh'26 – Student Induction Programme, PPG College of Arts and Science organized an inspiring session titled "The Portfolio Life: Why Your Skills Matter More Than Your Syllabus" on 09 July 2026 at 11.30 AM in the Conference Hall. The session was delivered by Rtn. MPHF Dr. S. Balamurugan, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Commerce (IB), Government Arts and Science College, Avinashi. The resource person highlighted the importance of developing a diverse portfolio of skills beyond academic qualifications, emphasizing that success in today's competitive world depends on continuous learning, adaptability, creativity, communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

The session encouraged students to explore opportunities beyond the classroom by engaging in internships, certifications, projects, volunteering, and extracurricular activities to build a strong professional profile. Through real-life examples and interactive discussions, Dr. Balamurugan motivated the participants to invest in lifelong learning and personal development while making effective use of digital platforms to showcase their talents.
