Unite to Clean, Commit to Green- Lake Restoration

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of PPG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, organized an environmental event titled “Unite to Clean, Commit to Green” on 18th July 2025 at 10.00 AM at Periya Kuttai, Karuparayanpalayam, Coimbatore. The program focused on Lake Restoration as part of an ecological conservation effort.

A total of 70 NSS volunteers actively participated in the cleanup drive. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of protecting natural water bodies and maintaining a clean environment. Volunteers enthusiastically removed waste and unwanted materials from the lake under the guidance of NSS Officer Dr. V. Haridas, with continuous support from our Principal  Dr. N. Muthumani.

The activity was conducted in collaboration with the Environmentalist Foundation of India (E.F.I.). At the end of the program, the NSS Unit was awarded a certificate of recognition by E.F.I. in appreciation of the volunteers dedication and contribution to environmental sustainability.
