Workshop on Environment and Climate Change Initiatives in Tamil Nadu

An Awareness Programme titled Workshop on Environment and Climate Change Initiatives in Tamil Nadu was organized by the TN EIACP PC Hub, Department of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Tamil Nadu, in association with PPG College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore and NSS on 30.12.2025 at 10:30 AM. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Thiru. N. Balusamy, Headmaster (Retd.), followed by the Presidential Address by   Dr. N. Muthumani, Principal, PPG College of Arts & Science.     The Special Address was delivered by Dr. K. Muthukumar, Programme Officer, EIACP, who explained climate change issues and various environmental initiatives undertaken by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The session emphasized environmental conservation, sustainable development, and the Life movement. A total of 50 students actively participated and interacted during the programme. The participants gained valuable knowledge on climate change and eco-friendly practices. The session created awareness about the importance of environmental responsibility. Students were motivated to adopt sustainable lifestyles and participate in conservation activities. The programme was found to be informative and engaging. The resource person’s presentation was well appreciated by the participants. The event enhanced environmental consciousness among students. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. V. Haridas, NSS Officer. The programme concluded successfully with positive responses from students and faculty.
